JOB SUMMARY Provide a concise overview of the essential function, purpose, & major objective of this job.

The Director-Supply Chain (DSC) is a key leadership role within the TABASCO® operations leadership team, with responsibilities for developing both strategic and tactical plans to support excellent customer service across all segments of the business. The DSC will play a lead role in the optimization and efficiency of logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory, materials procurement and pepper mash supply, as well as raising the effectiveness level of our level of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This position will also advise Corporate Leadership on the supply chain aspects of overall business improvements, as well as new business opportunities.

  • What you'll do

  • Identify and implement integrated activities associated with centralizing supply chain functions across the TABASCO® organization

  • Lead efficiency and margin improvement initiatives within the global supply chain segments

  • Manage both internal and external supply chain partnerships to optimize global distribution

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute strategies and tactics within the rapidly growing E-Commerce supply chain

  • Continuously review and improve packaging materials and plant supplies procurement processes

  • Oversee the management of the pepper grower network on farm to factory activities and processes, ensuring quality and availability of current and emerging varieties

  • In alignment with sales, marketing and executive management, execute successfully against service and cost performance targets

  • Manage, train, develop and coach global supply chain leadership team and build depth in the supply chain organization

  • Develop and nurture partnerships with external service providers as needed across the supply chain to support and enhance efforts to achieve global objectives

  • Create and continuously revise KPIs that reflect true measures of global supply chain performance


  • Who you'll work with

  • You will develop a strong working relationship with daily communications with internal team members from your own department as well as IT, accounting/finance, legal and sales and marketing. You will also consistently interact with VPs/Directors/Managers across the organization in support of our corporate objectives and mission

Qualifications State normal minimum education, experience, specialized knowledge and critical skills required.

What you'll need
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related business field
MBA or Masters Degree in related field a plus
10 or more years progressive work experience in the supply chain disciplines, at least 5 years at the direct management level
Management of third-party distributor networks a plus
Experience in international environment, both export and import
Thorough working knowledge and demonstrated success in the S&OP process
Proven track record of successful management of complex, multi-discipline projects
Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience a definite plus
Experience with large scale ERP (Oracle) and warehouse management systems
Strong leadership and teamwork skills; experience in management and supervision
Strong communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, decision making skills and strong analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task as well as be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, think creatively (outside the "box") and act on innovative ideas while also remaining calm under pressure
