Job Title - Financial Analyst Overtime (FLSA) - Exempt
Group - Finance Manager - Vice President - Finance

JOB SUMMARY Provide a concise overview of the essential function, purpose, & major objective of this job.

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing analysis and reporting on financial aspects of business planning, performance and results. The analytical work will involve various business functions and business units. Projects will include financial analysis of business strategies, product lines, manufacturing and operating expenses, overhead and administrative processes, along with financial forecasts and case studies. Key deliverables include development of insights derived from the analytical process with translation into actionable recommendations and initiatives for improving the business.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES List major duties & responsibilities of importance, including purpose of each.

  • Design/develop processes to identify meaningful trends from various financial data sources

  • Communicate results and insights from analytical projects via both written and oral presentations

  • Assist in corporate and business unit budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning

  • Collaborate with department managers to identify specific analytical projects

  • Develop/maintain financial performance bench marking data and analysis

  • Work with IT to ensure availability of appropriate tools for accomplishing job objectives

  • Participate in monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis processes

Qualifications State normal minimum education, experience, specialized knowledge and critical skills required.

~ Bachelorís Degree in Business-Major in Finance, Accounting or related Business field, MBA and/or CPA preferred
~ 5 or more years relevant experience in an analytical role in a manufacturing company, consumer packaged goods industry preferred
~ Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles
~ Proficient in financial modeling techniques, benchmarking applications and statistical analysis
~ Strong project management skills, plus ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
~ Demonstrated ability to develop and present findings in an effective manner
~ Advanced Excel and Power Point skills are a necessity
~ Knowledge of and experience with Oracle Financials, Cognos BI and TM1 a plus
~ Ability to plan and prioritize work independently
~ Courteous and polite behavior
